A Relaxed Summer Wedding for Tash & Hugh at The Cider Barn, Dillington Estate - Wedding Planner and Coordinator Devon

As wedding planners in the West Country, we have the pleasure of working with an array of couples to bring their love stories to life, so that they can enjoy their celebration without a wedding worry in the world. The only thing that makes us happier than planning and coordinating celebrations is having the opportunity to not only look back at them, but to be able to share their big day with you on the blog!

With that in mind, we’re bringing a dose of Vitamin D, good vibes and a whole lot of creativity to you today, courtesy of Tash and Hugh’s epic celebration at The Cider Barn on Dillington Estate in Somerset.

The couple, who were fabulously energetic, wanted an ultra-relaxed wedding day with a festival vibe. Not afraid to forgo tradition, they opted to swap a formal sit-down meal for something more laidback, with an outfit change for the evening antics and cocktails galore. Without further ado, keep scrolling and soak up the summer inspiration from Tash and Hugh’s Somerset wedding.

A huge shout-out to Blue Sage Films who was on hand to document every dreamy detail from their day…

A haven for the West Country lovers, The Cider Barn at Dillington Estate is renowned for its rustic charm and idyllic surroundings, promising Tash and Hugh the perfect setting to create the summer wedding of their dreams. With exposed beams and traditional

character, not to mention oodles of outdoor space, this wedding venue in Somerset lent itself perfectly to the chilled-out festival vibe the couple wanted for their nuptials.

Tash and Hugh were one crafty couple, where they created their own decorations and even installed their own disco ball.

Wooden pallets were adorned with vibrant and rainbow-coloured pom-poms, while paper lanterns hung from the trees and ribbons blew in the wind.

Katie from the Dorset Flower Co worked her floral magic, designed big, blousy and colourful blooms to align with the couple’s individual style. The couple opted for an alfresco ceremony while guests sat on hay bales, and a friend officiated the ceremony (having everyone, ourselves included, in total stitches).

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds had an epic confetti moment before enjoying cocktails and oysters on the lawns with their loved ones, mingling in the sunshine underneath blue skies. Ahead of a night of partying, the bride did a drop-dead-gorgeous outfit change, ready to dance with her friends and family while creating unforgettable memories in The Cider Barn. The Itchy Feet House Band played tunes throughout the evening into the night, with all guests on the dance-floor.

We were on hand to coordinate the wedding day so that it run without a hitch and we adored every second of working with this lovely couple. Whether you want a helping hand or for someone to take over the reins completely, just drop our team a note at West Country Wedding Planner to find out how we can create the perfect day.
