The Great Hall, licensed for Civil Ceremonies, was designed to impress in the 11th Century and, ten centuries later is still impressive – especially so since it’s recent refurbishment.  The Great Hall evokes a powerful atmosphere whatever time of day or season of the year. Aspects that contribute to it’s depth of character include enormous stone mullion windows,  polished oak flooring and huge stone fireplace, with a roaring fire in winter. The Banqueting Room seats 40 – 120 guests for the wedding breakfast, whilst the Orangery, Mews Sitting Room and Bar present the perfect scene for evening celebrations. Alternatively there are several places suitable for a marquee within the Castle’s gardens should you require more space.
