Real wedding - Intimate Cornish wedding

Not all weddings we plan are large and in big locations and for Paris and James it was all about family and location when they chose Polpier House in Mevagissey for their nuptials.

James had a connection to the seaside fishing village even though the couple where based in London and there was nowhere else they wanted to tie the knot. We met them onsite to talk through they day and match them to our suppliers and we couldn't agree more that it was the perfect spot and where excited to spend the weekend with them here.

We pulled together a fabulous team for this intimate day, and there was plenty of entertainment, laughs and dancing. As well as planning we also provided on the day coordination our beautiful 1930's cocktail bar decor from our Bold and Beautiful wedding company and full waiting staff for the day. The colour scheme was blush and grey and we kept in simple with chiffon runners, charger plates and blush napkins.

Alex Dobson started the after ceremony celebrations off with a performance on the terrace, and the talented Thomas frost provided photography and I do Film weddings filmed the day. Gemma from Poppys wedding florist provided the blooms, Ben Fanthome the catering which was cooked in front of the guests as the wedding breakfast was held in the large kitchen dining room and Talking bird music kicked of the evening with a full band under the built in disco ball followed by Sam from Shindig who DJ'ed the night away.

We provided the couples favourite cocktails of a lemon snazzelberry and mojitos for the evening celebrations and the dancefloor was never empty. Our team was there from start to finish and it was lovely to get to know all the guests with just 45 in attendance. Ben returned at 10pm to cook a Hog Roast to end the evening festivities. It was a beautifully intimate day that we loved being part of and despite rain we managed to hold an outside wedding as the sun came out just in time.
